Kenneth Lawrence Smith
July 25th, 1953 - June 30th, 2017
Kenneth Lawrence Smith, 63, went to be with the Lord on Friday June 30th, 2017 in Austin, TX. He was born in Corpus Christi on July 25th, 1953 to Morris Smith and Gloria Benton. He moved to Austin when he was little and spent the rest of his life there.
He attended Reagan High School and was active on the football team. He was saved on August 23rd, 1972 and fell in love with God’s word. He served in many roles at different churches. He was involved in Chi Alpha Ministries and led many people to the Lord. He was passionate about helping others deepen their faith through water baptism.
Ken enjoyed fellowship, laughter and storytelling with his friends and family most. He was happiest while holding any of his 3 granddaughters. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He is proceeded in death by his Sister, Diane Hendrickson. Ken is survived by his daughter, Kelsey Presson, son, Shelby Smith, granddaughters Kaylee and Kamdyn Presson and Autumn Smith. He is also survived by his mother, Gloria Smith, brothers, Ronny and Morris Smith. Thank you from his family to his friends who loved him so well.
