Robert Joseph Cummings
April 26, 1953 - April 4, 2018

Bob, Bobby, Robert … was a devoted Christian and dedicated warrior for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Bobby was born in Fort Meyers, LA on April 26, 1953, to Mary Lee and Joseph Veach Cummings. He had eight brothers and sisters: Charles “Sonny”, Mary Jo, Richard “Dickie”, Linda, Michael, Theresa, Kathy, and Laura. Bob moved to Texas in the 1950's and grew up in Austin. He attended Regan High School and served in the Army during the Vietnam war.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Patsy; sons Charles and Joe, step-son Matthew; daughter-n-laws Amy and Sheryl; grandchildren Max and Lula; sister-in-laws Michelle, Petra, Judy, and Norma; brother-n-laws Jay, Don, Mike and Jerry; many nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.

Those who knew Bob knew what a great man he was. His smile and personality were infectious. Bob was a dedicated husband, father, and grandparent. He had a never-ending affection for his family and friends and of course his beloved dog Harley. Throughout life it was the simple things he never took for granted, always making it a point to be thankful for what he had. Above all, Bob was a man of strong faith, believing in the power of Jesus Christ's love and the beauty and peace that would await him after his death. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends and everyone who knew and loved him.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents Mary Lee and Joseph Veach; brother Charles “Sonny”, sister Theresa, brother-n-laws Robert and Les, mother-n-law Vivian, nephew Jimmy along with numerous aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Please join us in celebrating Bobby’s joyful life and journey to be with the Lord for all eternity.
